Beaded scissors case

I spent my day making this cute little scissor case for my youngest daughter. Like me, she also enjoys handwork and I'm sure she'll enjoy this 2 1/4 inch scissor and fob. Tiny enough to stick in a small tote, but big enough to do the job.

Beaded Bees

I love these little bees, and they were so simple to make. These are made with delica beads, and average about 3/4 inch long from stinger to the end of the antenna. The larger the beads the bigger the bee. They'd even be darling on a homemade card.I found the pattern at www.maizehutton.com/beadedbee.html

ktj's Round Robin

I recently joined katie's RR with five other CQ'ers. I find it very unusual that three of the girls in the RR, are named Susan (I'm a Susan but go by Sue) and we have a Jane and a Janie, and of course the lovely Katie. I have been in many RR's with some of these girls and I'm excited to get to know the others Susan's. This is my work on Susan N.'s beautiful Pink Lady block. Wish I could say that the tatting is mine, however it was a great buy, off ebay a couple of years ago. Susan asked that we not use any pink on her block. This was to include threads, beads, buttons, and trims. I was totally shocked when I was wading through my stash and found so many of my embellishments were pink or contained some shade of pink. I didn't realize that my stash was so dominated by one color. I'll need to work at changing this, as I love all colors. Also a good reason to go out stash shopping. Hello Ebay.........here I come.

First Post

I'm not too sure how this post will work out, but after many weeks of procastinating, I have finially decided to put my thoughts and adventures down in a blog. I'm hoping that this will give me the drive I need to improve on the time I spend doing my handwork, and also help to stay in touch with my many CQ Friends.
